We've all been horrified by the war in Ukraine. It's so heartbreaking to see women and children streaming out of the country, while brave husbands, fathers, and sons must stay behind to defend what's left of their nation. These refugees are hungry, sick, and cold from days of traveling miles across a wintry landscape as vast as Texas.
UKRAINIANS NEED YOU
More than a million people have already fled from Ukraine, and millions more who are still in the country have been displaced from their homes. The United Nations is calling it "Europe's largest refugee crisis this century."
Among all the courageous words we've heard from Ukraine, that's the truth. "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the Name of the Lord our God" (Psalm 20:7). The most important thing we can do for the people of Ukraine is to pray. Please pray earnestly that the Lord will protect the people and bring peace to Ukraine. As Jesus told His disciples: "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).
